Hi Student,

Obviously I can't speak for Air Tractor, in fact I have a hard time speaking for myself most of the time  But if I were to attempt a wild guess, I would say that since they are carting that 802U around quite a bit, and it could undoubtedly be a far more lucrative deal, they are probably putting a little more emphasis in getting that launched than the 1002....
again, just a wild shot in the dark...
Take care, Rob

I was just reading in the E-edition of AAU this morning that they flew the 1002 to Reno last month.........after it was successfully test-flown. Unless I misunderstood something. It was in Reno, don't know if it was trucked in or not.

You are correct, Wade... I had recieved a cell phone video clip of the test flight from a friend of mine who works for Air Tractor, but it was sent to me a few weeks after the flight had occurred. They did indeed have the plane at Reno after the flight, so it very well could have been flown in.

I saw the 1002 at Reno. I'm certain it was flown in. Three words "It is BIG"

The 1002 was in Reno, and i spoke with the test pilot who flew it there. he said it wasn't quite finished yet and still had a few minor control issues to work out. so i am sure they are still making tweaks and have successful test flights all the time.
